A house kept
on purpose

What we protect, what we keep improving, and what we think hospitality should actually feel like.

How it started
We bought two old houses above the harbour and spent a long time putting them back the way they were meant to be.

Palm Leaf is small on purpose. Two apartments and a finca, Norwegian-run, looked after by the same few people all year. Nobody stands behind a desk here, and nothing is handled by a call centre in another country.

We are not trying to grow into a hotel. We would rather keep three places right than twenty places roughly.

01

What we protect

The stone walls, the lime plaster, the terraces that were built for shade rather than for photographs. When something breaks we repair it in the same material it was made of.
And the quiet. The finca sits above the village for a reason, and we protect that more carefully than anything else in the house.
02

What we improve

Every low season something gets better: water use, solar, insulation, the beds, the kitchens. Slowly, and without turning the houses into something they are not.
Sustainability where it makes a real difference — not as a line on a page.
03

What we believe

That good hospitality is mostly absence. No scripts, no upselling, no one knocking. The door opens, the house is ready, and the rest of the week is yours.
If you need us we answer the same day. If you don’t, you will not hear from us at all.
In one line
A place that feels lived in, looked after, and left alone.

Who stays here

Adults, mostly returning

Couples, friends travelling together, and families that take the whole house for a week. No children, by design — it is what keeps the terraces calm and the nights long.
Most of our guests have been here before, or were sent by someone who had. That is the only kind of marketing we have ever really had.

Ninety steps
above the port

Two apartments, or the whole six-bedroom house. Booking direct goes straight to us — same calendar as the platforms, lower price, and a person at the other end who knows the houses.
